Maryland Charities Open Up For Car Donations

Maryland residents that want donate their cars will avail of a tax deduction based on the condition of the donated vehicle. The vehicle's title is normally required for submission but donors that have lost the documents can replacement copy before the donation is made.
The Maryland DMV web site provides the needed forms for the car donation. In most cases we need the title to the vehicle. But, if you do not have title papers you can apply for a replacement title before donating your vehicle. Please visit the Maryland DMV web site to obtain the necessary forms before donating.
Questions about how to release the liability of the car that will be donated should be directed to the Maryland Department of Motor Vehicles.
